Courageous Coloring
A coloring workbook for girls in foster care leads to the creation of a new product line.
Many times, kids entering foster care show up at a new placement with a trash bag full of hastily gathered items, or sometimes just with the clothes on their back. In 2017, I decided to make a coloring workbook for girls in foster care that would empower and encourage them. Each Courageous Coloring workbook is full of journal prompts, creative exercises, and stress relief tips along with images to color.
One workbook has grown to a whole collection of positive products.
To help pay for the printing of the workbooks, I started selling a coloring book version as well. For each copy purchased, another workbook is given to a girl in foster care. I have also designed a Spanish translation of Courageous Coloring as well as greeting cards, t-shirts, and stickers. Every product is created to empower and inspire girls and women.
